Adding a subtitle stream

i don't use dvdafteredit very much (i use scenarist) but bought it 2 years ago to do a project. i have a client that wants to add a subtitle stream to a dvd that was authored somewhere else. i only have a dvd, no dlt, no project. the dvd is a simple. when inserted it has a menu with 2 titles that can play. is this something that can easily be done in dvdafteradit? what is simple way to add a subtitle stream?

thanks

adding subtitle stream

oops sorry, wrong thread.
As far as adding subtitles, DVDAfterEdit can't help you there - much. You would need to extract the m2v video files and ac3 audio files from the VOB. Then use Encore for example to re-make the two title timelines and add subtitles. No need to worry about menus or set any links or any other settings. Just create dvd folder with the two titles that have subtitles added to them. Then go to your old project and replace the title sets with the newly created ones, without importing menus or any commands that Encore has created. Then you might strip your project of all commands and reprogram the menus and PGCs. That's where all the fun is. The details depend on how the original disc was structered. But you might want to redo the menus anyways to add a button for the subtitles.
