How to find the layer break using DVDAfteredit?

How do I find the layer break, what steps do I need to complete to find it.

I am trying to Burn a Dual Layer Disc through DVDSP4. The Project is 8.4GB and is saying that I need it insert the break point, however I do not know how to do this.

I have built the disc and can open the VTS files through the program but how do I find the break point??

Please help

You must use DVDAfterEdit Mastering Edition

Hi Kandy04,

We do not have a demo version of DVDAfterEdit Mastering Edition, and you can't see the possible layer breaks in the demo version.

You can take a look at the Guided Tour under "Resources" on the left, and you will see how to do it.

Did you mean that DVDSP4 is asking you to insert the layer break point? Since your project is very large, it may may not be able to find a legal layer break. Actually 8.4 GB is right at the limit for what you can put on a DVD master.

Layer breaks must be put on a "Cell" boundary, which is usually a place in the video that you "branch to" from another place, like a chapter point. DVDAE can create a cell if necessary, it will show all the legal places with a blue arrow next to them.

Hope this helps,

Larry
