Copying a non-protected DVD to disk-Drag or rip?

Hi

I have a lot of non-protected DVD5 that I need to dump to disk to remove old logos and stuff.
Is it the same to copy by dragging the VIDEO_TS folder to the hard drive or should I rip the disk with
MacTheRipper?
Sounds like a silly question, doesn't it?
Thanks in advance

Thanks, guys. Best regards!

I regularly drag & drop and reset permissions without issue, but Alex is right that ripping saves you some steps.

Copying a non-protected DVD to disk-Drag or rip?

Hi Enrique,
I think there is a difference between dragging and ripping, even though both eventually produce the same VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive. If you just drag the files from unprotected DVD they inherit "Read only" permission, but if you rip the disc, then the permissions are changed for you already, so there is no extra steps before you can open the files in DVD AE.
