Sonic Creator VIDEO_TS

OK, I give up!!
How do I create a VIDEO_TS folder set in Sonic Creator that DVD AE can see without immediately crashing (evaporating)? Is this because Sonic embeds some proprietary control files next to the folder? You can't make an image file in Sonic either because this isn't understood by Toast or anything else. Damn Sonic not meeting recognized standards!

Basically, I've got a dual-layer project in Sonic which I want to bring over to DVDAE so I can mess with it.

Thanks,

Also to consider...

Try turning CSS off and see what that does. Its also possible that there's something in your particular project that causing DVDAE problems. If you have another Creator project laying about you might try writing it out as a VIDEO_TS and see if DVDAE can open it.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Michael - thanks for the

Hi Michael - thanks for the response.
Actually, I think there is CSS on the VIDEO_TS set by Sonic, but why is this a problem? DVDAE will read a VIDEO_TS folder made by DVD SP that has CSS enabled won't it? (Enough acronyms for you!)

Anyway, if the solution is to disable CSS, then that's what I'll do. Thanks for the tip.

I use Creator all the time

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I have used DVDAE with Creator VIDEO_TS output many times and don't have problems with crashes. I am wondering if you are trying to add copy protection (CSS) to the output of Sonic. This should be done by DVDAE when you output to tape. Maybe this is causing a problem.

Also: image files from Sonic can be mounted using Toast. However, again, you may run into problems if you add CSS from Sonic.
