I discovered this great program a few weeks ago, DVDRemake Pro, and used it on 2 projects with successful results (However, I still used DAE to finish it and be sure all things work well). I use it to merge DVDs and I just want to know if anyone has any comments on this software and/or had any issues when checking back the merged DVD with DAE ?
Thanks!

Yes
But you can't insert a PGC before another one, it always append, or replace if you paste over. So no more problem when you forget to add a dummy Title1 (To act as First Play when the DVD is stopped) in a DSP project, just copy/paste to a second PGC and add your commands to PGC1. It's not as deep as DAE (No access to PG, Cell, NavPack), but this only feature makes it pretty useful.
Interesting...
...I'll have to take a look. We plan to add this facility to HDAE, but it won't be in the first release. So, say you add a logo clip to VTS 1 - does it append an extra section of video on the end of the VOB ?

Yes, I used it for 2
Yes, I used it for 2 projects I had to merged 2 or more DVDs, it inserts its own main menu to access each one. The greatest feature is that I can add/delete/swap any PGC without replacing the entire title set (DAE can't, maybe HDAE, I didn't look), but it can do a lot more. So in combination with DAE and DSP, it gives a very powerful workflow to create professional DVDs.
Well sometimes I need to
Well sometimes I need to merge 2 or more DVDs together (Promotional, corporate, etc.) and it keeps all settings of each DVD. It insert its own main menu to let you choose, but I can easily swap the PGC with my own menu. To be able to delete, add, swap any PGC is the greatest feature of DVDRemake Pro (DAE can't do that), but it can do alot more. So for $50, in combination with DAE and DSP, it makes the workflow very powerful to create professional DVDs.
Hi Piere-Luc, I hadn't seen
Hi Piere-Luc,
I hadn't seen this before. The merging of discs looks pretty basic, ie. there is no interaction between them once you've selected which one you want to watch, is that right ? This isn't something I've ever needed to do, personally - but, if it works, then great ! When checking in DVDAE you should check the log for errors and use "Project > Check all commands for errors". Otherwise testing with Tracer will be the most useful method.
