Hi everyone,
We are getting Inquiries regarding DVDAfterEdit's ability to run on the new Intel Macs. I would expect that it does, but we don't own one yet. We are working on a Universal Binaries version, but it may be a while before that is ready. Can anyone test it for us, please? If so, how is performance?
Thanks,
Larry
DVDAfterEdit works fine on Leopard
Everything is working fine on our Mac Pro's with Leopard, no problems. This also includes the 4.20 ATTO driver for the UL5D, UL4D, and UL4S. Both DVDAE and the new tape utility we are working on operate the DLT drives with no problems.
DVDAE also works fine on PPC machines with Leopard, but we have not completed our testing of the ATTO UL3D and UL3S card installed in a normal PCI slot, and ATTO does not have a new driver for that configuration.
Regards,
Larry
DVDSP Updates today
Hi Lode,
Apple released 10.5.1 and updates for DVDSP and other Final Cut Studio apps in the last couple of days:
Maybe these will help with your problems ?
Ian
Leopard
DVDSP4 is wrecked on every Mac I have regardless of Leopard or Tiger.
I installed DVDSP3 and that won't work either.
I have been trying since 21 H and it is now 15h31.
Would DVD AfterEdit work on Leopard?
Intel iMac works Great
I was very pleased with performance on my friend's Intel iMac 20" that he bought today. I wasn't able to do extensive testing, but it "felt" very similar to how it runs on my G4's and G5's. This isn't too surprising, since we do a relatively small amount of computing compared to the amounts of data that we look at.
Of course it will be more reassuring if someone can report using an Intel Mac on a daily basis. But our program doesn't play any "tricks" or do unusual system things, so I do expect it to perform correctly. There are no Intel Macs that can run an Atto Card yet, so that experiment will have to wait.
Regards,
Larry
