I would love to be able to write a DL DVD right from inside DVDAE, after I've dumped from DLT, so that I can be sure that the layer break would be written where it's supposed to be, not where, let's say Toast, "thinks" it should go.
And a Copy DLT function would be nifty, too.

While I agree that the way Toast works is frustrating, personally I'd never trust DVDSP over dvdAE to format anything... I think our efforts would be better spent trying to persuade Roxio to make Toast offer a user-controlled choice of layer-break cell.
Trying to support all the different burners out there would be a time-consuming drain on dvdAE's programming team, imnsho...

I totally agree.
the lack of DVD+-R DL writing capability is the reason. why i dont use DVDAE for regular projects.
I have a good workflow mastering with DVD SP to DLT and write the back-readed DLTs to DVD-R DL.
As a workaround, wouldnt it be possible that DVD SP creates a .lay and .layout file that is understood by DVD SP? So we could burn modified projects with DVD-SP to DVD-DL.
best,
