Well, after 3 months of testing by the band, the new version of King Crimson's Deja Vrooom- my favourite DVDAE post-authoring project to date - has been given the green light and the DLTs have gone off to be pressed - three years after I was first asked to be involved !

Last year at NAB HD was all the rage - There were huge screens everywhere, and even an indoor movie theater which showed content at 4X HD - the detail was phenominal.

This year it was more practical - the overriding application was how to deliver HD content over the air. To those of us in DVD authoring, it is sobering to see what a small part of the big picture we are. Yet by far the liveliest venues were on the first floor at South Hall, where most the the tiny startup companies and other larger software vendors exhibit.

DVDAfterEdit 3.0.5d1 Released

This development release fixes an error which prevented opening Sonic "Plant Direct" DLT or Tape Images. Thanks to Stevey K for discovering this and sending me an image that enabled me to find and fix the problem.

This is a "development" or interim release, but no other changes were made so the remainder of the program should function as before.

DVDAfterEdit in Videomaker Magazine

DVDAfterEdit is featured in the New Gear section of the July issue of Videomaker Magazine.

Slowly but surely we are getting the word out. The article was written before we lowered the price of Mastering Edition, so readers who get to the web site should be pleasantly surprised.

According to Videomaker's media planner (yes, we are placing small ads starting in August) "More than half of Videomaker subscribers make use of video in their occupation". An audited report states that it reaches over 65,000 readers per month.
